Main/Auxiliary RF Antenna Switch
Built by M. W. Persons and Associates, Inc.
|The M. W.
Main/Auxiliary Antenna Switch
1000 watts or less of RF power. It will quickly select between
main and auxiliary transmitters by pushbuttons on the front or by remote
control inputs. It is capable of switching 0 to 2000 MHz(2 GHz) RF with VSWR of
1.07:1 or less and is 1.01:1 in the 88 to 108 MHz FM broadcast band.
Tally lights indicate on the panel and 2 VDC status outputs tell a
remote control system which transmitter is connected to the antenna.
For AM broadcast switches see the AM
|The switch has three N-F connectors for
the RF. There are relay contacts to control interlocks on the
transmitters so the transmitter not connected to the antenna is muted to
prevent it from turning on. There is also a switch on the front
that can be set to "Test" so the otherwise muted transmitter can be
turned on for testing into a dummy load. A 24 VDC switching power
supply is included so the panel can be powered by 110-120 VAC 50/60 Hz.
The switch is built on a 19 inch wide by 3-1/2 inch high standard aluminum rack panel. One-year warranty and comes with schematic documentation.
Switch with 1000 watt
RF-4A Four-Port Switch with 250 watt capability is $860.00.
N to N RF cables are also available.
Add shipping. State tax is charged if it goes to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
We need to know at the time of order if the transmitters involved need a closed or open interlock in order to run.
