Engineer's Log
Part of NAB 2017

Sunday, April 23, 2017:  Engineers from around the world gathered at a three-hour Nautel transmitter seminar and were treated to lunch.

One of the speakers was Paul McLane, Editor in Chief of Radio World Magazine.
Paul talked about trends in listenership and where broadcasting may be headed.  He is a very good speaker.

Chuck Kelley W9MDO and Jeff Welton of Nautel gave ideas along with tips and tricks for keeping transmitters running.
Chuck was a contributor to the April 2017 edition of QST Magazine.

Paul McLane thanked Mark for the over 100 "great" articles he has written over the years.
Mark thanked Paul for running a quality magazine and for his speech this day.

Mark was wearing the "radio" tie from Shane Toven which shows vacuum tubes.  Mark says tubes are the latest technology, but not many are listening.

The stories go on and on.  Stop in again sometime.  I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
