Engineer's Log of Mark W. Persons
St. Cloud, MN, Hamfest

Saturday, February 15, 2014:  There were brilliant colors in the eastern sky at 7 AM just before sunrise.

It was seen along the Mississippi River at Brainerd, MN.

Old Glory waved over the frozen tundra of the Northland at sunrise that day.

We are fortunate to live in the land of the free and home of the brave.

Then it was off to the Cabin Fever Reliever Hamfest at St. Cloud, MN.

Tim Verthein KCJEZ (in the white coat) was wheeling and dealing on used amateur radio equipment that day.

It didn't take long before he pulled out his wallet to buy gear that he could not live without.

I was there wearing a black Zenith Long Distance Radio shirt along with long-time friend Randy Aldous KCEGE from Brainerd.

Plenty of new and old radio gear to look at and maybe purchase.

Even more fun to meet and talk with radio friends.

The stories go on and on.  Stop in again sometime.  I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
