Engineer's Log of Mark W. Persons
Television Interview

(photo from an earlier TWIRT interview)

Thursday, October 11, 2012:  Mark was again interviewed on This Week In Radio-Tech Internet television.  The program is run by well-known radio engineer Kirk Harnack and aired on the GFQ Network between 7 PM and 8 PM Central time.

On this episode, the moderators were Kirk Harnack from Telos Systems, Chris Tobin from CBS Radio, and and Tom Ray.  Mark talked about his trip to Washington Island where he operated a first-class Amateur Radio station making contacts around the world.  Some might call it "Ham Paradise" or "Ham Heaven."  He also related how broadcasting and Amateur Radio operate under completely different FCC rules even though they share the same radio technology.  There were about 1000 viewers at the time.

Recorded audio and video of the show are available at http://bit.ly/TWiRT140

October 13, 2012 e-mail:  Mark:  Nice seeing you on "This Week In Radio."  David in Rocklin, California

Quote of the day:  It was an interesting interview.  Mark

The stories go on and on.  Stop in again sometime.  I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
