Engineer's Log of Mark W. Persons
Midwest Radio Visit

May 21, 2010:  Mark and Paula visited the corporate headquarters of Midwest Radio in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  The group is owned by Wright family members, many of which are shown in this collage of photos.  Duke Wright, who runs the company, is shown on the left in his early years.  The family owned a music store business back in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s.
The Green Bay operation has these stations and two translators.

The impressive studio and corporate headquarters building is on the same site as the WNFL 1440 KHz AM transmitter and towers.

Chief Engineer Tim Laes is justly proud of the studios he created.

The stories go on and on.  Stop in again sometime.  I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
