There were 70 exhibitors showing off wares. |

Among them was Jim Gorman of Gorman-Redlich with his new CAP-to-EAS Converter. At $1350 list price, it is a real bargain. M. W. Persons sells them. See: http://mwpersons.com/gorman.html |

The first evening, there was a Nuts and Bolts
Session where "War Stories and Your Stories" were related by attendees.
Judges gave points for each entry.
Mark told the story about the radio station owner who had to let is best salesperson, a woman, go after learning that she was selling herself as a part of radio advertising packages. There were great laughs from the audience. |

Mark also met with John Bisset who recently joined Tieline as a salesman. Mark first met John in about 1980 when John was working for Delta Electronics. At the time, Mark got to know John because he was the only one without white hair at Delta. Now, Mark and John both have white hair in spite of the blond look they have in this photo as a result of the lighting. Mark and John are a frequent contributors to Radio World Magazine. |

On the second night, a band provided entertainment. The group was made up of members of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. See, engineers can do more than fix transmitters! |
![]() |
There was the SBE National Awards Dinner for this organization that has more than 5200 members worldwide. SBE Fellows were honored by SBE President Vincent Lopez. |

Clif Groth is also a long time friend of Mark.
Clif ran sound for the convention and did a great job. Mark wore his Snoopy computer tie. A fitting one for a technology gathering. |
