Engineer's Log of Mark W. Persons
Yet another transmitter to work on!

January 18, 2010:  Another challenge showed up at the shop.  This one is a Nautel Ampfet ND1.  It is a 1 KW solid-state AM transmitter that is in need of repairs and retuning to a new frequency.  There it is, next to a dummy load and ready for a workup.

February 18, 2010:  Final testing was completed after retuning and the crew from WVAL picked it up.  This transmitter will be used as the main on a new 540 KHz station in Sauk Rapids, MN.  It will be a part of the WVAL group of stations.

Also see story about brace to hold the front door open.

The stories go on and on.  Stop in again sometime.  I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
