Composite Audio Switcher
For FM Broadcast Facilities

Built by M. W. Persons and Associates, Inc.
Made in Minnesota

Front and back of a composite audio switcher, which is commonly used at radio broadcast transmitter site to select which STL (Studio-Transmitter-Link) receiver feeds a transmitter.
Automatic Operation:
Built on
a 1-unit (1-3/4" high) x 19" wide rack panel, this one uses a squelch relay on the main STL receiver to trigger a switch to the backup STL receiver when the main receiver fails.  The front panel switch allows full automatic operation or forces the switcher to the main or backup STL receiver.

Remote Control/Manual Operation:
Requires only a momentary remote control closure to switch between main and backup source.  Then a separate closure to switch back.  The unit can be ordered with front panel pushbuttons to select main or auxiliary.

Additional Features:
Lights on the front indicate which receiver audio is sent to the transmitter.  There are 2 VDC tally outputs indicating which is on the air.  That voltage can be used to trigger a remote control alarm.  Comes with a 24 VDC power supply.

The cost for a CAS-2 Composite Audio Switch is $438.00, but the price could vary according to the exact site requirements.  BNC to BNC cables also available.
