The
Concourse at Garrison, Minnesota. This beautiful rest area was
created in the 1930's with labor by the Civilian Conservation
Corps. It is on the west end of Lake Mille Lacs which is in
east-central Minnesota.
The state fish is the Walleye which is known for it's excellent taste. Walleyes are caught in abundance on Lake Mille Lacs. |

This is Minnesota State Highway 18 on the north side of Lake Mille Lacs. The trees, in summer, overhang the road and enhance the beauty. |

From the east side of Lake Mille Lacs. The sun reflects off the water on a July day. Mille Lacs Lake is about 20 miles across. |
