Mille Lacs Kathio State Park

This is Here are Paula and her dad Chet posing at the Rum River, which flows through Mille Lacs Kathio State Park.

This is one of many fire lookout towers that date back to the early 1900's.  With 100+ feet of height, they allowed forest rangers to spot fires from long distances.  

Brave tourists are allowed to climb the towers.  

Mark took this photo of Paula at the base of the tower.  Paula is the white dot in front of the tower and just above the tower's shadow.  

This is a view looking northeast from the lookout tower.  The water is Minnesota's famous Mille Lacs Lake.
