Duluth, MN
October 12, 2008

10/12/2008: It was breakfast with people from NASA (National Atmospheric and Space Administration) at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Duluth, MN.  They work in Houston, TX.  On the left is Ronny Newman, Mockup Manager for an astronaut training facility.  On the right is Sean Melody, Deputy Chief of the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility.

Mark spent most a week taking astronaut training some years ago at Space Camp.

Here is Mark touching a real "moon rock," which was brought back on one of the U.S. space missions in the 1970's.  Learn more details about the event by clicking here.

Later, Mark was seen in an astronaut's suit on a Mars mission.  Paula decided to go to the Moon for her photo.
The NASA people gave lectures to the public at the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth, MN, that day.

Later, we saw SCUBA divers in one of the fish tanks feeding the fish as visitors looking on.

Paula is out afterward taking photos of the board walk and surroundings at the Duluth Harbor.
What a fitting view of a local bird.
More fun with a camera near the Aerial Bridge.
This moss looks interesting between pavers on the walk too.
