Mark Young,
Engineer of the Town Square Media, formerly Regent Radio,
stations in St. Cloud, MN. The name change took
place in May 2010. Standing next to him
is your intrepid radio broadcast engineer Mark Persons pointing at the WWJO FM
main transmitter. It is Broadcast
Electronics FM 30 Transmitter. An RCA BTA-20E1 Transmitter
is the
auxiliary. Mark has us to do RF spectrum analyzer measurements and
other technical work on a regular basis. We
have worked with Mark Young since the late 1970's. The WWJO FM tower is shown to the right. This 1000-foot tower can be seen for many miles. The telephone number is 320-251-4422 |

September 2008: Mark Young installed a new Radio Systems RS-18D Digital Audio Console as a part of a major upgrade to the WJON AM studio. It took a week of concentrated effort to remove the equipment along with the furniture and replace it all with new cabinetry and equipment. The studio now has a much more open feel and is very functional. | |

Mark used punch blocks to handle wiring. He also installed a fluorescent light above the blocks to make work easier. Good going, Mark! |
